Legal expenses can escalate very quickly. Protect yourself against any unforeseen legal matters with four levels of legal cover and exclusive benefits from Hollard.
The Hollard Legal Plan protects you against any civil, labour or criminal matters, and is brought to you in partnership with LegalWise − pioneer of the concept of legal insurance for the average man on the street. With over 82 branches throughout SA.
The three levels of cover are:
The key benefit of this cover is that unlike other legal plans, the Hollard Legal plan offers these cover levels per matter, and not per year! Hence there is no annual limit to your cover.
The amounts above are limits of cover per legal case, which happens to be 1,000 times your monthly premium!
The cover limit on your entire legal plan is set by your lifetime limit, which is 10,000 times your monthly premium. So for example, if you choose R200 per month premium cover, the maximum you can claim for the duration of your policy is R2 million.
Your Hollard Legal Plan covers Criminal matters, Civil matters, and Labour matters arising in South Africa.
Telephonic and electronic legal advice.
Access to standard legal documentation and contracts.
Retrenchment benefit which offers you a 6 month grace period on cover.
Consultation, assistance and representation for approved litigation matters.
An excess is payable on claim, however after 2 years of being an up-to-date policyholder there is no excess.
Waiting period of 3 months to make a claim, however 24/7 telephonic legal advice benefit is available immediately.
Cancel the policy within 90 days − with a money back policy − if you are not happy!
If you take up either Plan A, B or C (minimum premium of R120 per month), then you'll have access to a range of extended legal insurance that covers:
An ante-nuptial contract is a contract between two people who plan to get married.
Uncontested divorce. This is a divorce that both people agree to.
60% discount on debt counselling initiation fee (R3,000 savings and cover is immediate).
60% discount on attorney fees for property tariffs (you can save up to R4,000 on a R1 million property and cover is immediate).
A property valuation screening by RatesWatch.
A waiting period of 3 months applies to the Ante-nuptial contracts and Will drafting benefits, and a 6 month waiting period applies to Uncontested divorces.
